Today we finished our STEM challenge of building the 5 types of bridges we talked about. The students got to choose between an Arch bridge, a Beam Bridge, A suspension Bridge, a Cable-Stay Bridge, and a Truss Bridge. All of them were made and challenged to see which bridge could hold up 100 pennies. All the bridges past our challenge, except for two. We then talked about the process of building these bridges and why the two bridges weren’t able to hold the weight of 100 pennies! Enjoy the pictures!
